This Incredible ensemble is comprised of some amazing individuals,. Often times we tell you where we are performing, but you may not know who we are so we felt it would be wonderful for you to have a brief intro to know some of our key wonderful people and players.

The members of The Funktion have traveled the world, sharing stages with a Who’s Who of musical luminaries that includes Pink, Stevie Wonder, Joe Cocker, Kool & The Gang, KC & SUNSHINE BAND, Christine Aguilera, Aretha Franklin and on and on. Now, the musicians that make up The Funktion have turned their focus to being a real party band that takes the clichéd promise of “something for everyone” and actually brings it to life.
The Band can play virtually any style of music – the versatility, the horns, the rhythm is a far cut above everything else.. a versatility yielded by a team with unprecedented vocals and backingwho together specialize in bringing their own innate energy and chemistry to the music.
The Funktion’s impact on your event doesn’t just begin and end with their performance. Musical director Ken Negri makes sure that no client's question goes unanswered, and is available every step of the way to ensure that everything goes as planned. Eric
Eric has been playing since childhood Among world renown artists he has performed wirth, Eric contributes weekly to his church performing worship services and other events. Opened for Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson, Sting; Al Jarreau, Tom Jones, Elton John, and many others. Eric is probably the most friendly fun loving talent we ever had the graces to work with. He is a crazy good dancer too!
Vivian
Music Can change the world. This philosophy is well beyond words. One listen you
are hooked as Joe Cocker, John Mayer, Madonna, Peter Gabriel , and many others were.
Warm and wonderful with probably one of the best sense of humors you will ever find. This
humor, love, and vocal prowess come together--be prepared to be blown away!
Denise
Denise has danced and sung her way into the hearts of millions as a vocalist of the world famous sensation, KC & the Sunshine Band. Totally entertaining, singing, and nonstop dancing this ball of energy was aptly nicknamed ZOOM ZOOM unanimously by the band which says it all.

Oh Wow!!! What do the Apollo, Oprah, Americas Got Talent : Season 3, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Steve Harvey's Big Time, Showtime in Harlem, The Today Show and Maury have in common? Jon!!! An amazing player and is off the charts with incredible dancing, entertaining, virtuosity at its best in every showmanship type way.

Ken
Ken leads The Funktion and plays lead trumpet. Ken is very sincere, honest, and enjoys working with this amazing group. Having the absolute love for his peers and loving what he does allows for amazing success and always putting clients 1st
Dave
Bassist, Artist, Bandleader, and Musical director. Dave hails from NYC and truly is a miracle. Holding the position of bass player for The Funktion as well as the Musical Director for J.T. Taylor formerly of Kool and The Gang.
There really is an amazing sound and bottom to the band that you just can not find elsewhere. Dave is cool and always smiling..
